Lose 40 Pounds in 80 Days

THIS WILL REDUCE YOU:

Breakfast:
Average size tomato juice     25
2 soft-boiled eggs     150
2 slices crisp bacon     50
1 slice any bread, butter, jelly     100
Black coffee, or tea     000
325 Fillin', too!


Mid-morning snack:
You're too full-you skip it!


Luncheons
Light soup, cup     25
Normal Blue Plate of meat, fish     150
Two vegetables     100
Vinegar salad     25
1 slice any bread, butter, jelly     100
Jello dessert     35
Buttermilk     80
Black coffee     000

515     Not bad

Mid-P.M snack:
You're still too full!


Man-size dinner:
1 thin soup     25
1 order most meats, fish     150
1 order most vegetables
(choose 3)     150
1 slice bread for "push stick"     100
vinegar salad     25
3 fingers cheese, pie, ice cream     150

600 And you're gasping!



If you look this over first without reading the figures, I'll bet you'd think it was more than the self-administered diet.

Yet this totals less than 1,500! Within the bounds of this diet, you stand to lose no less than _ th lb. per day!

Now just think-when the dieting is over, you can go up as much as 1,000 calories a day and hold the weight!

And remember-hold the weight, and you'll hold the ladies!

Hold the towered weight for three months, and it'll be hard to go back up.

It was good reasons like all these that made me organize "Calories Anonymous" and do it right!



I TRIM THE FAT

Here is a neat trick I found that lost me pounds, even without dieting.

I trim the fat.

Watch Fatty and Skinny eat. Fatty knifes clear through the meat, gulping down fat and all. Skinny takes a moment to trim the fat!

Both think they are eating alike, but just that little bit of trimming reduces many a fatty.

Good grade meat is interlined with enough fat without your eating the fat off the edges. So, trim the edge!

Remember, just 1 ounce of food less a day is a loss of nearly 23 Ms. a year!

It's just these "little things" you do that count up.


"I HAVEN'T GAINED IN 20 YEARS"

I asked my doctor how about the person who says, "I eat whatever I want-and I haven't gained or lost a pound in 20 years!"

Sometimes it seems as if weight works the opposite way from money: where fat is concerned, them as don't have don't git, and them as has, Bits 20 pounds more every time they so much as flirt with a fudge sundae.

What's Slim Jim's magic?

I learned it isn't magic. It is just that somehow, by acciådent or design, this lucky person just puts enough into him each day to compensate for the energy he expends.

His metabolism is in perfect synchronization with his amount of food. Intake equals output.

Like a good carburetor, he keeps his engine running at just the proper speed all day long, so that he comes out even each day.

But you will note that his life is generally serene. It is normal, day in, day out. Or at least he makes it balance out.

If he goes on an eating spree, he slows up instinctively for a few days afterwards.

If he overworks, somehow or other he overeats just enough to take care of things.

Lucky guy! Or is it luck?"
