Granted that knowledge of what you eat will reduce you, how should you go about putting this knowledge to work for you?

I delved into this and found an answer.

People running diet clinics and farms tell me that fatties don't realize how much they eat per day.

They think they eat such and so. They are bewildered when they feel they are eating little, yet fail to lose weight.

When placed under observation, fatties are amazed to learn they are actually eating DOUBLE what they "thought" they were eating.

A little dab of butter taken absent-mindedly, a cracker or two before a meal which they felt "doesn't count, it's so little"; a soft drink or two several times a day - all suddenly add up to that "extra meal" they didn't realize they ate. So I worked out a Calorie Counter with the help of several diet folks, including Miss Dorothy Cooke of the Dallas Diabetic Association, which naturally must be most accurate.

Then with the printers and bookbinders I fashioned what I call THE FAT BOY'S SLIDE RULE.

Here, at last, is a method to count, hour by hour, what goes into your tummy. A fairly accurate count, too, so that you can now eat and know you won't gain or lose weight, depending on what you want in life.
